How to read a card. Each senator gets up to two types from their committees: first the committee they lead or their party leadership post, then the committee most relevant to their AI work. HP is 10 per year in Congress. Attacks are real bills, votes and public moves, mostly on AI; damage numbers are decoration. The italic box gives their stance on catastrophic AI risk, quoting them when they have said something direct. "No statement found" means a search turned up nothing; for some senators that search covered only their own Senate website.

Sources. Committees and leadership posts: senate.gov committee assignments and Senate leadership, checked Oct 21 to 22, 2026 (Ron Johnson's Budget chair, which followed Lindsey Graham's death in July, was added by hand). Service years and birth years: Congress.gov and the congress-legislators dataset. Bills: Congress.gov and GovInfo bill status records. Quotes: checked word for word against the senator's own press release, a transcript, or the news report that carried them. Election status and retirements: news coverage through Oct 22, 2026. The research notes, with a source link for every card, are kept with the project files.

Art. Card images were made with ChatGPT from official congressional portraits (public domain, via Wikimedia Commons; the Sanders and Warren photos are CC BY-SA), with the card text taken from this page's data and proofread against it. Elizabeth Warren’s card adapts Elizabeth Warren by Gage Skidmore.jpg by Gage Skidmore and is released under the same CC BY-SA 3.0 license. Bernie Sanders’s card adapts Bernie Sanders February 2026 (cropped).jpg by Anders Eidesvik (Anderseidesvik), a crop and rotation of his February 20, 2026 photo, and is released under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license. The eleven senators leaving the Senate in January 2027 keep plain cards: Armstrong, Cassidy, Cornyn, Daines, Ernst, McConnell, Peters, Shaheen, Smith, Tillis and Tuberville.

Corrections. Oct 21: Warner's S. 5576 is officially the Artificial Intelligence Risk Management and Security Act of 2026, and Cotton's AI OVERWATCH amendment was never adopted because the Senate never took up the defense bill (it failed a procedural vote, 50-46, on July 14). Oct 22: the NO FAKES Act cleared Judiciary in June 2026 (Coons); the 57-43 data center vote was on the House version (Darline Graham); Sullivan cosponsored, rather than co-led, the FIGHT China Act; Ricketts's chip bills are not law; Blumenthal's AI Risk Evaluation Act is described by what it requires.

Not rechecked. A few biographical details come from general knowledge: Blumenthal's 20 years as Connecticut attorney general, Grassley's yearly tour of all 99 Iowa counties, Warner's early cell-phone investing and Cotton's Army service in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bill status changes fast, so check a bill's current status before quoting a card. Facts are current as of Oct 22, 2026.
